Upon the notice that Optometry could resume routine and comprehensive eye care, we are opening to serve our patients on May 4, 2020. We have been working diligently to enact rigorous health and safety protocols. These additional precautions will mean that you will notice a few changes when you arrive for your appointment or any of your eye care needs. The following is what you can expect:
We will begin your examination from the parking lot. Which means, please call our office when you arrive and we will begin with your medical/ocular history questions. We will also ask if you have been having any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms. We will also let you know when the technician is ready to begin with your examination and you can come into the office.
Only one patient is allowed in the office for each appointment. Companions should only enter if they are the parent/guardian accompanying a child or a true caregiver who is required to assist the patient.
All people entering the office will be required to wear a facial covering or mask. Please bring one with you.
All patients will have their temperature taken when they arrive.
Our examination rooms will be thoroughly sanitized between each patient.
All frames will be properly sanitized after being handled by patients or staff before being returned to the frame boards.
All patients picking up their new eyeglasses will need to schedule an appointment to do so, so we can limit the amount of people in the office.
If you do not have an appointment, we would appreciate a call before arrival, to allow us to best serve you while maintaining a healthy environment...for example, for frame adjustment, vitamins, and sunglass shopping.
